"Education for the World's Children"

Welcome to the BETNS Our World Irish Aid Awards Project page.  We are currently working on a very exciting project to enter into the competition, which we're sure will interest everyone.  This year's theme is "Education for the World's Children".

Irish Aid is a government organization whose aim  is to reduce poverty and hunger by supporting long term development and providing humanitarian assistance in developing countries, on behalf of the Irish people

This year's project is based upon the second goal of the eight Millennium Development Goals:

1. Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger.

2. Achieve universal primary education.

3. Promote gender equality and empower women.

4. Reduce child mortality.

5. Improve maternal health.

6. Combat HIV/AIDS, Malaria and other diseases.

7. Ensure environmental sustainability.

8. Global partnership for development.
